WOMYN

This book club is for those ladies and gentlemen who favor gender equality as a vital facet of human rights. The book 'WOMYN' serves as a forum of discussion for the preservation and advancement of gender equality worldwide. After reading this book, I have come to realize the rampant lack of gender equality, both obvious and subtle, still present in the world. In my own personal relations with family and friends, gender inequality lingers as well. I cannot help but wonder, for example, why there are more Chinese baby girls being adopted by white American families rather than Chinese baby boys? This scenario reflects the outright gender discrmination against Chinese girls in China. Why cannot there be a more or less equal number of Chinese baby girls and boys being adopted? As a Chinese American womyn, I want this book club to talk about the productive and constructive debate of gender equality for those adults who read and should read 'WOMYN'.
